Hurricane Preparation
Dear, Residents of Preserves at St. Andrews:
As we monitor the approach of Hurricane Ian, it is important for our residents to review their homes and prepare for this storm.
Here are some guidelines:
- Review and stock your hurricane preparedness kits
- Store all loose items on the exterior of your home inside a closed structure (garage/porch/house) flower pots/yard art/garbage cans can easily become projectiles
When should you hang hurricane shutters?
According to the National Hurricane Center you should put up your hurricane shutters when a hurricane watch is put in effect for your area. In other words, you should put your hurricane shutters up 48 hours before the storm starts.
